A. R. Murugadoss to join hands with Dil Raju for a bilingual

Filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss, who is currently busy wrapping up his Hindi directorial “Akira” with Sonakshi Sinha, will soon join hands with producer Dil Raju to bankroll a bilingual with a leading Telugu film star.

This project will be directed by Gopichand Malineni, who is basking in the success of his latest Telugu outing “Pandaga Chesko”.

“Murugadoss, Gopichand and producer Dil Raju met last week and discussed about collaborating soon. The initial talks have been positive. They’re planning to rope in a leading Telugu film actor,” a source privy to the development told IANS.

Besides producing the project, Murugadoss will also pen the story. He will be producing the film’s Tamil version, while Raju will take care of the Telugu version.

Contrary to reports, this project won’t be the Telugu remake of Murugadoss-directed Tamil hit “Kaththi”.

“This will be a fresh script. There were talks of remaking ‘Kaththi’ in Telugu, but nothing has materialized on that front so far.”

Last week, Gopichand shared on his Twitter page that Dil Raju will be producing his next film and more details regarding the project will be revealed soon.

  • Super star Mahesh babu rocks in south
Latest release srimantadu gross around 75 cr in his opening weekend….just behind bahubali (162 cr)…

  • If ever he wants to remake any South movie he knows whom to contact in Bollywood. The king of remakes Salman who have been imitating South actors to revive his drowning career.Just wonder what would have happened to his career had there been no South industry. He would be competing with Fardeen Khan

  • I am from Gujrat.. but i am huge fan of telugu movies…….. thanks indicine… Plz give is update about Tollywood too..

  • now indicine is giving south indian movie’s updates.lol
i dont even know any of them except murugodoss and that too because he is an acclaimed director and has given us beautiful movies like holiday and ghajini

  • @Indicine , stop serving us south indian crap news

Even bhaijaan has stopped remaking OTT south indian films

  • @indicine i believe u as far as Bollywood films r concerned. If u dnt knw abt telugu films then better u dnt say anything abt them. ‘Pandaga chesko’ was a flop here. It collected jus 10 cr nd wom was worst. Plz dnt call it a success.

  • And srimantudu grossed 33 cr in opening weekend in Telugu states. Ijcluding overseas and tamil vereion it wud b 45 cr gross. I hav seen it last nite. Worst film. Too boring. Going to b flop.

  • @Rocking Why shouldn’t they publish articles regarding South movies when half of the Bollywood movies are remakes of South Indian films. If South Industry is crap then your entire Bhaijaan’s career is an even bigger crap.Despite catering to a single state South movies have raised the bar of Indian cinema and have made India proud.Stop posting such juvenile comments and respect every Industry especially the one which has revived the career of several actors and in particular your Bhai who will always be indebted to South Industry. And I am pretty sure this movie too will be remade by either your favorite star or Akshay.

  • @Challa : Salman is your king’s baap. Without Remake, item number, cheap dialogues (like your king), multi star, heavy promotions he has given a 300 crs in India, Almost 600 crs in WW n most acclaimed movie of this year (Till now). You are a coward to comment against Salman on non Salman articles to avoid bashing. Be a man n have some guts !!!!!!!

  • @challa just imagine if YRF, Dharma and rohit shetty didnt exist in Bollywood, then your king would have been back on television serials and would have also been seen in Bigg Boss house (Not as host, but as a contestant.) ????????
