Murder 4 announced, stars Emraan Hashmi

After working with bigger banners with little or no success, Emraan Hashmi is returning to his roots. The actor, who will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s Raaz Reboot, has also signed the fourth film in the super-successful Murder series titled ‘Murder 4’ under the same director.

While there are reports that the story is inspired from the Sheena Bora murder case, involving prime suspect Indrani Mukerjea, Vikram Bhatt has said a similar script was written by Mahesh Bhatt before the shocking real-life murder case hit headlines.

“Mahesh Bhatt had confessed last year, soon after the Sheena Bora murder case broke, that he was shocked by the similarities in his script, then titled ‘Ab Raat Guzarnewali Hai’, and the headline-grabbing events. similar in its sensibilities” Vikram said.

Meanwhile, producer Mahesh Bhatt said Murder 4 will be bigger and better than the previous films in the series. The film is expected to go on floors towards the end of the year and release in 2017.

“It’s too early to reveal details of his character but it’s a strong role and will reinvent his image, along with the Azhar biopic. I’m just waiting for Vikram to complete Raaz Reboot and then we will plan this one. It’s been a lucrative franchise for us and we have to make Murder 4 bigger and better” Mahesh Bhatt said.
