Murder 2 has opened to mind boggling numbers and is now the second biggest opener of the year after Salman Khan’s Ready. The Day 1 collections are in the 7 – 7.5 crores range and the weekend is likely to be around the 25 crore mark.
On Saturday, the collections continued to remain good. Business at single screens is outstanding. At multiplexes, the occupancy is good but the collections are on the lower side due to limited shows. The film has done poor business in Mysore circuit, where Delhi Belly continues to attract crowds.
Murder 2 is easily the biggest opener for the Bhatt’s (Vishesh Films) and Emraan Hashmi, whose box office power is highly under-rated. It will also be their biggest grosser ever!
The last few weeks have been great for the Hindi film industry with Ready, Double Dhamaal, Delhi Belly and now Murder 2 opening to huge numbers. Will Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara continue the same trend? Will the opening be bigger than Murder 2? What do you think? Tell us in the comments section below

Watched Murder 2 here in Sri Lanka. I t was just an awesome movie. After a long time it was one of the best hindi movies I watched. Some of the scenes were so violent, but appropriate for the movie. Was looking for a good scary movie for a long time & I got this one this time. Emraan Hashmi & the Bhatts deserve awards for their magnifiscent effort. Jacqueline was also hot & added glamour to the movie. Her acting was decent. I wish after this movie she gets good offers from good directors. I recommend everyone to go with an open mind & watch this movie. You will enjoy!
saw murder2. good movie . very different from what i expected. and the title is apt for the movie.Bhatts should be congratulated in depicting realities of life. these kinds of psychos as the villain do exist in the indian society.
