Munnabhai Ki Aatma Katha Details

Director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently announced the third film in the Munnabhai Series. Previously, Munnabhai 3 was supposed to be titled Munnabhai Chale Amrika and the makers had even released a trailer, but Hirani after the success of Lage Raho Munnabhai moved on to make 3 Idiots, which was the biggest grosser in the history of Bollywood.

After 3 Idiots, there was a lot of speculation in the media; Will Rajkumar Hirani direct a Munnabhai film after 3 Idiots? Will Sanjay Dutt return as Munna? There were even rumors that Aamir Khan was likely to replace Sanju.

But with the official announcement, it’s been confirmed that, much like the previous two Munnabhai films, both Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will return to play the iconic roles of Murli Prasad Sharma and Circuit.

Sources say, the film will go on floors in June 2012 and Munnabhai Ki Aatma Katha will release in 2013.
