‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’ is holding up well in its second week at the box office, as the film has collected Rs 3.40 crore on its second Monday, which is nearly 3 times more than the 1st Monday collections of this week’s release Mirzya.
The film has also crossed the 110 crore mark in 11 days, beating the collections of Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3. It should eventually go on to become the 2nd highest grosser of the year, ahead of Airlift and Rustom.
Today and tomorrow are holidays in parts of the country, which should help the film cross the 120 crore mark by the end of its second week.

Box office analysis of Dhoni TUS has 3 timelines..
a) When movie was made
People thought making a movie with 80cr budget with SSR as lead will be a disaster, it may fold under 50cr.
b) Post trailer and pre release
People thought it will do very well at the box office and will do 125cr at box office.
c) Post weekend
After extraordinary weekend everyone thought that movie will easily cross 150 cr plus.
I feel movie has done really well if you look at holistic picture.
Star power of MSD has been proved. Neeraj Pandey has got his first big commercial success. SSR has got the much deserved reckoning.
SSR get 4 open weeks. More then lallu. So SSR > LALLU.
Dear Jan dont worry brother either way he is acting so once he quits cricket he will naturally join films already doing dozens of brand endorsements and offcourse we have our great Srini mama down south he will ensure that he is cast along with none other than Superstar Rajni sir this guy is lucky man the movie itself shows how luck can favor some one and how unlucky some can be
Airlift was a much better film Neerja was a classic but people go out to see Dhoni romancing and singing songs its not a biopic its a typical masala film

n u were talking about it folding below 110 crores n struggle to be a hit.. never underestimate the second weekend.. in this day n age people are very busy with their respective work priorities be it education, job, business, household etc.. if there is a certain interest to watch a film among the audience they will definitely come to watch it by the second weekend.. not all are able to watch it in the first weekend due to various reasons.. they wait for the coming weekend..
