Mohenjo Daro has shown good growth in business at the domestic box office. The Friday to Sunday jump is around 34%, which suggests that the film is finding appreciation, but the problem remains the low opening total on Friday.
The Hrithik Roshan starrer now needs to hold strongly on Monday and put up numbers that are similar to Sunday. Further growth on Monday would be a very positive sign, because there is plenty of potential for growth. After that, it becomes all about holding to around the 6 crore mark Tuesday onwards, which would still be below what the film needs to collect to recover its high costs, but the final all-India total would atleast get into acceptable territory.
Mohenjo Daro has to find a way to cross the 80 crore mark, which still looks a way off, but there are plenty of half-holidays this week, including the big holiday for Independence Day.

next year dussehra weekend is very healthy…… so big star can afford a big movie as a 4day weekend as their are sat sun mon 3 holidays in a row ……so indicine suggest someone like srk to come as a 3 open week also….and he also needs a good date…..as eid is blocked by godfather of srk and diwali for golmaal 4 so no means for clash and Christmas their are padmavati dragon thug and many more

Have to say being a HR fan I am very very disappointed with the collection.
When MohenJoDaro was announced it had the potential to do 25cr on day-1 itself but post release of the trailer possibly everything has gone wrong.
Having said that HR has the talent and perseverance to make strong come back.
I request HR and SRK to figure out a way to avoid Raees and Kaabil clash as both needs these films to work and in no way it will work with clash..

As of Box Office India Rustom has scored only a 50 cr. weekend just because of less no. of screens…This is very rare to see that a film can’t score big because of less no. of screens all the screens are houseful…On a solo release it would get a minimum 60 cr. weekend…Which is great for a non-holiday release…
Means on a big holiday like EDX the film could’ve score over 100 cr. on a solo release…Akshay Kumar,3 Khans and Hrithik are in the same level as of opening in EDX(Salman is little bigger now add +5-10 cr.) else for non-holidays Akshay Kumar is the undisputed king…
@indicine why are trying to show hard mahenjodaaro is already a disaster and one of the biggest disaster ever. it will collect below 60cr with budget of around 150cr. come on indicine don’t behave like this how can Monday collection can be better than Sunday you forgot that cause of Monday is a holiday Sunday night collection didn’t drop but Tuesday is a working day so no way Monday collection can be more than Sunday. also Rustom is running to the capacity with less screen so those who didn’t get tickets for rustom are going to watch mahenjodaaro cause it has released in many screens. but Tuesday mahenjodaaro will crash completely and with happy bhag jayega viewer will have choice to watch and mahenjodaaro will end completely within 55-60cr lifetime.
The weekend collections of Mohenjo Daro have been underwhelming . But I am happy to see some kind of growth from Friday to Sunday . I hope MD grows today because of National Holiday . If MD sustains well on Tuesday than it can do reasonable business in the upcoming weekdays . I still have not lost hope but let’s wait and watch . Fingers Crossed !!!!!!!!

House full 3 is a clean hit
all those actors post 2000 are still trying their best to be on top of the industry but bollywood is ruled by the 90s actors

Stop dreaming, MD won’t cross 70 cr, it’s a sure-shot flop. The best it can do now os to avoid the disaster tag and to be a simple flop. HR will bounce back (not with Kaabil though) but everyone must accept that he made a terrible mistake by signing MD and then by clashing with Rustom. Ego wars never end well…

Some fans of Akshay are rejoicing thinking Akshay has become bigger superstar than Hrithik after MD debacle which is not true and is foolishness to think so. All it takes is one film for Hrithik to get back to Super Stardom and continue competing with Khans.
Akshay started his career in the year 1991 (10 Yrs before Hrithik) and is yet to win a Filmfare best actor award or had a movie that has crossed 150 crores. In comparison, Ranbir & Ranveer have movies which collected 150+ & have won atleast one best actor award.
So to give a best example of top 10 stars in Country considering the factors: 1) Content/choice of movies, 2) Awards, 3) Opening of their films & 4) Final collections of their movies are:
1) Aamir/Salman (difficult to choose no.1 between them)
2) Salman/Aamir
3) SRK
4) Hrithik Roshan

6) Ranbir Kapoor

Rustom has only improved the chance of Akshay to move up to 7th position. The amount of years he is industry he is expected to be at a level of Khans, but his level of competition is with Ranveer & Ranbir. But, have to appreciate Akshay for choosing the right kind of movies in 2016. Hope he continues to do so and start competing at a level of Khans.

We saw sultan being an average film done 300 cr…And MD being an magnum opus is struggling to even recover its costs…
Hrithik Roshan should avoid clash with SRK. If Kaabil fails then it will be badly impact in his career.
No super hope from SRK but I am counting on Rahul Dholakia this time and Sanjay gupta is an average director. So for Hritik good and for the sake of the Film Industry Kaabil should be back out.
I still believe in Hrithik’s potential n support him at this stage. People who writing him off will chew their words when he bounce back. But HR should choose right kind of movies !!!!!!!!!

MD is an very good movie – compared to Rustom definitely. Such a movie not doing well shows the type of movies India prefer. Quality is always overlooked. The sad thing is that the press and the Bollywood fraternity wrote this movie off before it was released. Why?
