Here’s the first look poster of Pooja Hegde from Ashutosh Gowarikar’s upcoming film ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Pooja plays the role of Chaani the ‘Chosen One’.
Pooja wrote “Been waiting 2 show you’ll Chaani for 2 years and now i can’t even wait 2 hours. wohoo. This one’s gonna be epic! Hai nu @iHrithik? #MohenjoDaro”
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Mohenjo Daro belongs to the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC (more than 4600 years ago).
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 12.

I think she is in the princess get up.now don’t bark haters costume doesn’t matches with time.if so then how movies like Troy,3 00,300-2,kingdom of heaven made?are those films in get up exactly matched with time? Ashutoshji rocks,MD rocks.
But one thing worried me a lot.I expect some highest level kind of visuals like bahubali from MD,if not little lower.but nothing will be affected the movie a lot.
But I have faith on My one of my most favourite HE is the gem,HE can take any challenge .HE never disappointed nor will do any day.I’m big Fan of HIM and His Direction.
@rangil Singh,still ASHOKA is far better than 90% of non actor Bhai’s mahacraps.at least ASHOKA didn’t has one ounch-15 men in air type c-grade scenes.
Ashoka couldn’t did good collection because of not having great songs and entertainment and heavy romance.y our star can never do challenging roles nor can ACT properly,so stop jealous of others who can at least did.

@Indicine, there’s been a change in dates wrt Indus civilization and now ASI says its much older than it’s thought which was front page news. Hope you do some research rather than post wiki info.
She is looking beautiful . The names of both the characters are unique – Sarman and Chaani are not typical which we are used to . She is playing the role of a princess . She has a great opportunity to mark his authority as she will get a performance oriented role in her first movie which not happens with everybody . Ashu Sir always has the habit to choose horses for courses – Gravy Singh in Lagaan and Gayatri in Swades . Both were newcomers both were simple and both gave amazing performances . Many people may have contrasting views but she is playing the role of a princess so she has to look regal and royal . They can’t show her wearing very skimpy clothes . They must have researched about the costumes worn by the people in that era along with ornaments, food as well language . Till now everything has been pitch perfect . First the motion poster, Hrithik’s poster and now Pooja’s poster everything has created a huge impact and now the countdown begins for the trailer which should be spellbinding . This poster was also trending on Twitter and this shows the buzz and excitement of people for Mohenjo Daro . The trailer whenever releases will create a blast on YouTube .
Laughing at ignorance of some people. Ashutosh Gowariker dedicated 3 years of his life to study the lifestyle of Indus Valley Civilization, and some of the ‘experts’ here think they know better.
The Indus civilisation knew the process of silk production and cultivation of cotton. People (both men and women) were also very fond of jewellery during that era. Their clothing also depended on their financial
There’s not much information about it on internet, limited depictions of clothing show that men wore a cloth around the waist, resembling a modern dhoti and like it, often passed between the legs and tucked up behind. Which was exactly the clothing of Hrithik in the poster. Their clothing also depended on their status in the society, there was a tradition of wearing long robes in higher class society, and the normal attire of the women at that time was a very scanty skirt up to knee length leaving the waist bare. Considering Pooja plays a role of the daughter of a very rich man, her looks are spot on.

Some people (very few) also questioned Hrithik’s hairstyle in the previous poster, men at that time were interested in dressing their hair in various styles, they also used to trim their beard. So, there was nothing wrong with his hairstyle or beard.
They used most of the fibers for clothing like cotton, flax, silk, wool, linen, leather, etc.
Ashutosh knows what he is doing as it took him 3 years for the research, so don’t criticize something you may not have any knowledge about, many directors might not pay so much attention in detailing, but Ashutosh likes to be as accurate as possible, and he’s done a great job so far with all 3 posters.
She’s looking stunning by the way, and as I wrote earlier, Ashutosh has payed a lot of attention in clothing during Indus Valley Civilization.
Not bad ,but personally I liked the Hrithik poster more.
