Mohenjo Daro’s struggle at the domestic box office will end this week, as the film has crashed in its second weekend. The Hrithik Roshan starrer has crossed the 55 crore mark, which is a poor total for such a big film. The film will finish with lifetime collections of less than 60 crore.
The growth on Raksha Bandhan was good, but the reduction in shows along with the fact that both Rustom and Happy Bhaag Jayegi were the first and second choices at multiplexes – resulted in Mohenjo Daro not finding too many takers.
IndicineLBO: We predicted 54 crore as the lifetime box office collections. The film has crossed that number, but will finish with collections of around 58-59 crore.

Mohenjo Daro is not for third class audience. Therefore, I was in doubt earlier that something might happen like this as the media took it to a new height by criticizing how bad the first trailer was. People are so obsessed with Lallu types of movies that they forgot to appreciate movies like Guzarish and now Mohenjo Daro. It was not a commercial movie but earning this kind of poor collection proves how bad the taste of Indian audience has become. They need Masala staffs in all movies. Anyway, Kaabil should turn out to be a huge hit as it’s a commercial movie!!
Now time to revenge for hrithik on republic day 26th jan 2017 . Be aware be very scared loongiwalas.

What fans got to understand is that Mohenjodaro is more of Ashutosh Gowariker failure and Hrithik will bounce with stylish thriller Kaabil.
Fan was riding solely on Shahrukh Khan and with a double role it was his and his failure. Raees is an outdated film now with even the makers not having confidence and adding various gimmicks to lure audiences. And then there will Dear Zindagi in between which has no takers.
With Kaabil, Hrithik will redeem himself while Shahrukh will find himself in abysmal depths from where there will be no way out.
@indicine is it disaster? You said it may move to flop category but such poor collections even on 2nd weekend seem like a disaster to me. Is it true? Please answer me.

incredibly low… Hrithik has lost not only a clash but very many good movies for this mediocre period drama… But he seems to be interested more in money rather in good scripts that’s the reason why he has signed another deal which starts with Kaabil (must be a remake of some Hollywood or Korean movie as Mr. Sanjay Gupta’s talent is copying only) How can HR work with such a non-director like Sanjay Gupta, who is a copy cat since starting… HR come to your senses now, there’s a long way before you could become Aamir Khan, he takes risks not money…

At present, your queen has failed to cross 90 crs on partial holiday whereas Salman least performed movie in last 3 years is way ahead of your queen’s last release movie.
