Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro is in trouble. The producer-director who has been busy making his highly ambitious film, Mohenjo Daro, has made news for all the wrong reasons ever since the shoot began. And now the film might face another big jolt because of copyright issues.
The case is that Akashaditya Lama, the director of the film ‘Cigarette Ki Tarah’, says the script of Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro is similar to the one he had written. The writer is a prominent writer for TV serials like ‘Kumkum’ and had assisted in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’.
Akashaditya has sent a legal notice to ‘Mohenjo Daro’ director Ashutosh Gowariker, UTV Films and Disney India and its lead star Hrithik Roshan.
When contacted he said “I sent him a handwritten script through Saluja which he returned after four days saying that he had just directed a period movie (Lagaan) and didn’t wish to make another one immediately.”

“I was surprised to learn that Gowariker had already commenced his film’s pre-production. After re-confirming from several sources that his Mohenjo Daro is very similar to my script, I sent him another mail on July 18, 2014, reminding him about the script I had sent to him in 2002-2003” Akashaditya added.
The court has set a hearing on the 17th of December this year. The lawyers of Ashutosh Gowariker denied all allegations.
“Our client states that they had received a script from Mr Ballu Saluja in 2003. However, our client returned the script to Mr Ballu Saluja immediately without reading the same.”
But, Akashaditya still claims that he needs justice as a play and a film, based on his script, was to go on floors. But after the announcement of ‘Mohenjo Daro’, his financiers have backed out.
“After Ashutosh Gowariker announced his film, our financier backed out. It is causing us tremendous financial loss as well as hampering our credibility in the trade” he said.
Mohenjo Daro is scheduled to releases in theatres during the Independence Day weekend next year.
Ashutosh Gowariker is one of the best director we have right now…His movies are always been unique compare to others…He always chooses different concept which reflect not revealed part of India…Personally, he my favorite director and Swades is my fav. movie..This case will start creating the buzz for Mohenjo Daro and help it to become one of most awaited movie of 2016…
Sensible people will watch masterpieces like BM and Mohenjodaro, other will watch craps like that other dilwale.

I just hope that this is a rumour . Ashutosh Gowariker has written scripts of movies like Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar . The most important fact is no movie has been made on Indus Valley Civilization till now anywhere in the world . The hearing will take place tomorrow and i hope the decision goes in the favour of Ashu, Disney and Hrithik Roshan . Some people might think this news will create buzz for the movie but i think otherwise this news if becomes true will affect the credibility of the movie because Mohenjo Daro is one of the most awaited movies of 2016 . By the way yesterday Hrithik shot for a song which was choreographed by Raju Khan . Apart from Mohenjo Daro the next movie of HR with Sanjay Gupta is also facing Copyright issues according to some sources . I hope both the movies get out of this mess as soon as possible . #######

Also the person who has filed the case Akshaditya Lama directed the movie Cigarette Ki Tarah which was a B – Grade movie and i am damn sure many people have not heard the name . This person has written the fictitious script on Indus Valley Civilization is something i am not able to digest . I hope the truth prevails as soon as possible .

Anyways the look of hrithik is brilliant. He always looks very handsome in his movies but this time he isnt potraying good looking guy and looks completely into his character of a villager. I think this is good compliment that he isn’t looking handsome this time around. He will let his acting do the talking this time.

FYI, Mohenjodaro never been in the news for wrong reason and there was a rumours that HR fights with Ashutosh with regards to Crocodile scene. However it was just a rumour itself. Either tell us the reason of wrong news about Mohenjodaro or rectify the article please .
