Veteran Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, the producer of the recently released ‘Kaabil’, has said he is happy with the way both films are performing at the box office.
“Very good for us that both the films are doing well. ‘Saara zamaana, cinema ka deewana'” said Roshan, speaking to the media during the Lokmat Style Awards on Tuesday night.
“It is big happiness for all of us because we made the film with a lot of hard work and passion. The audience has given lots of love to the film and this gives us more happiness and energy to come up with more good films in future.”
“I feel the love we are receiving for ‘Kaabil’ is same as when I made ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hain'” he said.
Kaabil starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam in the lead, has collected nearly 80 crore at the domestic box office in 7 days after its release, as per official sources.
Kaabil deserve a good release date & better music album….. Even normal Friday with two open weeks is much better option …
Vishal & shekar or Mithoon could be best option for music director but
Personally I think PRITAM is perfect for dis type of movie I mean Romantic thriller should have a perfect music album with romantic Chartbusters……when it comes to Romantic tunes Pritam is D best…..
ideally kaabil needs ADHM type album but it never happened…..

After watching kaabil i really feel it wont to the bussiness it did now…Roshans can easily avert clash as srk did during sultan but they dont…SRK mostly face clashes after 2009…RNBDJ get only 12 days…MNIK feb release…CE only 6 days…JTHJ vs SOS…DILWALE vs BM…Fan april release…Now Raees vs KAABIL…
DON 2 RAONE HNY solo release with Tons of negativity…

I am sure that Mr. Roshan is feeling like a fool now. It does matter how many films come up against each other, the better ones will always prevail, and if all are good, all will be successful. He and his son have visited Hollywood, and this is what they do.The studio use their best films to get the business over public holidays and they do not facilitate each other, unless they know that their film does not stand a chance in making any money. Then they would automatically change the date, not blaming each other. They would be the laughing stock of the industry.

watched both movies – surprised the Indian audience preferred Raees. Kaabil is a better movie in all departments. Hopefully someday the audience will look further than the star cast and go for good quality cinema.

The product you make should talk for itself not manipulation in collections or manipulation in praise.

RAEES is well made unique crime drama with novelty of boot legging with 2 good actors pitted against each other. No family rona dhona, No unnnecessary side stories.
compare this to KAABIL. Same old boy meets girl, they get married, villians rape girl, girl hangs herself, boy gets mad, boy takes revenge and kills all the villians. Only difference is both boy girl are blind. Thats the only difference. If public is not shown in detail how he plots and plans killings in detail, they are smart enough to make this film flop and they did.
RAEES gave you repeated crime drama but it is done uniquely with proper set ups, confrontations and even for the first time ever item number song used to perfection. This uniquness public is enjoying despite RAEES is being in masala domain.
Just a reality check.
