A few multiplexes in Bangalore : Started slow, morning shows were poor (20%).. but has picked up for the afternoon shows (40 – 50%). The word of mouth is good.
Mumbai : In Mumbai too the start was slow (30%) afternoon shows were better. But lower than expected for a big budget film starring Salman Khan.
4:00 PM IST update – Single screens are poor, business has picked up after a slow start this morning. Advance booking for evening shows are good. Critic reviews and audience reactions are pretty positive.
7:15 PM IST update – Business has doubled for the evening and night shows. Few screens at select multiplexes in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai are sold out (shows are 9PM). For those curious, Aladin looks almost certain to be a disaster, unless it picks up on Saturday and Sunday.
11:00 PM IST update – Day 1 at multiplexes was mixed for London Dreams. Collections improved drastically during the later half of the day at multiplexes. Not doing too well on single screens. More updates tomorrow, stay tuned.

Bangalore – Good business at multiplexes throughout the day, especially INOX and PVR Cinemas. Single screens aren’t too great in Bangalore.
Mangalore (Karnataka) – Fantastic collections at Big Cinemas (Bharat Mall). When we contacted the Manager of the multiplex he said “London Dreams is doing well, family audiences are loving it, collections should improve further on Sunday. Aladin opened very poorly, around 10% occupancy for the Morning show on Saturday. Its targeted at the kids and Sunday being a holiday, we expect a better response.”
Mumbai – Much like Bangalore, Business has picked up after a slow start on Friday. Sunday is expected to be even better.
Overall, all India business for the first 2 days should be around Rs 100 million (10 crores – nett gross).

Sunday updates – Appreciation from the youth and family audience alike has resulted in excellent collections on Sunday all over. Doubled the collections of Saturday, which is a good sign. The weekend business is around 15 – 17 crores.

Monday – The India Australia cricket match has affected collections. Overall Week 1 collections are expected to be somewhere between 24 – 28 crores, which is good. Much like Blue, second week is crucial for London Dreams. But unlike Blue which had no competition in its second week, two biggies release this Friday – Jail and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. While Jail wouldn’t prove to be much of a competition, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s APKGK would be the first choice next week. Will London Dreams show life this weekend or end up being an average grosser, remains to be seen.
Tuesday – Bad news! The collections have dropped after recording decent collections on Monday. The drop was expected (since Monday was a holiday) but with 2 big releases coming up, the show-count would reduce drastically at multiplexes for London Dreams. A HIT seems highly unlikely now. Open second week would have been ideal. Lifetime nett gross should struggle to touch 40 crores in India.

Updates: London Dreams crashed further on Wednesday and Thursday. The first day of Week 2 (Friday) saw a drop of more than 75% compared to its first Friday. Lifetime nett gross should be under 31 – 32 crores which would be way below expectations. Below average / Flop likely. Very disappointing.

- Week 1 – 23 crores
- Week 2 – 7 crores
Total in 2 Weeks – 30 crores
Box office Verdict – FLOP

LD- actors went only to Zeetv little champs show for publicity, salman didnt publicise the way he did for wanted.. dat would `ve made a big difference…

earlier vipul had told `ll have live concerts for LD promotions,, but he didnt do it…

First “AJAB PREM KI GAZAB KAHANIII” -: RAJKUMAR SANTOSHI who Direct “ANDAZ APNA APNA” and than he again with Comedy movie “AJAB PREM KI GAZAB KAHANIII” Movie started with prem(ranbir) who is the president of the some Happy club and Along with his friend. he always help who is love.
And after that Jaine(katrina) enter that movie some miss under standing between ranbir his friends and katrina when they meet. katina is upset with ranbir and after that story is going that same other movie whare hero is want love with heroin and story is going but than actully the heroin is love some one else upen patelbut his father is politics so again the same story “garib ladki amir laddka” she is cristin and upen is hindu but prem is help jeny to marry with upen and again we so planty of movies this sacrifies kind of things.
and the end was same the hero heroin milap this end is naver u emagine wat a end ? ? ?
by far i this movie i think it’s ordinary yar bohot filme aisii ban chuki hai

i think ranbirkat look good 2gather
but thre is weak story and some boring scene movie goes down ..

I also show london dreams. it is damn good. All cast performance are perfect. Music , songs, story , dailogue and direction all were good. Accroding to me, all hit movie are facing problem of picking up business. Why i tell u, the movie are realeasing one by one or say after one by one. So thats why is will show that film are not doing well. I request the critics or distributor or producer that for your good please schedule the film releasing not according to date of occassion but according to best time or good mahurat.

Even if he is my enemy… but it is true that Mr. Salman Khan is the biggest Super-Star of Bollywood and India, he really has been facing tough to tougher challanges in his full of controversial life…, 1st- black buck, 2nd- Aish split and dirty blame of beating women, 3rd- Vivek’s blame of threatnning over 41 ph. calls, 4th- Car accident in Mumbai street, 5th- Fake blame of threatenning Aishwarya Rai by the name of underworld connection, 5th- Fight with me, 6th- Foe with John and Shahid and last 7th- Media’s extreme enemity with the worst tag of ‘Bad Boy’….,,,, these all negative things and minus points are more than enough to spoil and sink any other star’s career, I wonder if these things would happen to me or Aamir or Amitjee… nobody would remain anywhere in even in Bollywood’s narrow street but Salman is still rocking here and keeps giving blockbusters in every decade right away from late 80’s! His star power and charm is charismatic and his fan following has been increasing day by day like anything… unbelievable! Salman is the real trend setter of bollywood and style icon of the nation (India) and also for othet countries (such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Malaysia and many other countries)! Akshay was enjoying his life’s best moments in 2007 and in 2008.. but that was until Chandni Chowk to China (A disasterous flop), nothing else.. but Salman is enjoying stardom from 80’s (1989) till date (2009), Salman became super-star from his very 1st film as hero and still enjoying the super-stardom and I beleive he will be enjoying this stardom and huge fan following! Salman himself a brand name or organisation or u can call him a company, he launched many star in bollywood, he helped many super-stars including me to establish in bollywood, still he is helping and launching many people’s career in bollywood, he is a great soul with a fanstatic kind heart who loves to love the Human Being! Akshay is a star now only, don’t know about future… but Salman was the super-star, is the biggest super-star now and will always be the unsinkable huge super-star of India! Akshay’s single life is not enough to compete with Salman’s star power!

My suggestions to Salman are as follows:
1. Stop taking Sohail Khan in your films. We don’t want to see him with you in any film ever!! We know you deeply care for your brothers – but pl Sohail is suicidal for your career. Pl keep your personal and professional lives strictly apart. Does Anil Kapoor act with his brother Sanjay Kapoor in any of his films or does Aamir? No, never, because they know it will be suicidal. You should never have done stupid films – such as Hello Brother, Hello, Heroes, Main aur Mrs Khanna ( it infuriated your fans to see that Main was actually Sohail Khan – yep, maddeningly yet again!!), or before that Chal Mere Bhai, Yehi Hai Jalwa or Even Jaaneman or Yuvraj where you were merely one of the hereoes long with Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan etc whereas the audience expected to see you as a Yuvraj in the real sense and not just it being your screen name in the film. When your fans – and they are a legion – go to see your films they expect the focus of the film to be squarely on you and you alone. This was the biggest strength of Wanted and even London Dreams where your performance is stupendous along with that of Ajay and your pairing with Asin is magical.
2. Work only in films with powerful scripts and outside your family banner. An occasional film with David Dhawan is ok – But we would like to see you acting in films with the likes of Mahesh Bhatt, Imtiaz Ali, Abbas Mastan (in a real thriller), and yes, with Aditya Chopra and of course, Sooraj Barjatya again. We have many story ideas for you – but don’t know how to reach you. Can you put your e-mail id on Indicine.com for the benefit of your fans?
3. Go for Asin – you two make a truly fantastic pair. We are sure you can recreate the Salman-Madhuri magic with Asin. Also, we want to see you in two-heroine powerful romantic films, with maybe Asin-Deepika, Asin-Mallika or Asin-Kangana! Pl give it a serious thought.
4. Avoid Sohail at all costs – especially in the promos of Veer, which is without doubt a hugely anticipated film.
