Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta who is married to Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has delivered a baby girl today.
An excited father, Mahesh was more than happy to share the news with the world. He tweeted “ITS A GIRL!!!! Lara Dutta, I Love u..”
Lara won the Miss Universe title in 2000 and stepped into Bollywood in 2003 with Andaaz alongside Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra.
Last year, the couple fell in love and married on February 16, 2011.
Just before this happy day Lara attended the party hosted for Oprah Winfrey. After the party she tweeted “Oprah and SRK, two people i absolutely adore! Thank you for making my day! Now can go into labour happily :)”
A couple of days later, Lara and Mahesh became proud parents to their baby girl.
