  • Great news.. movie will be a big hit.. Hrithik will be unstoppable after znmd.. Agneepath will be superhot too

    • What’s surprising is the price that Krrish 3 has been sold for. That too when the film is yet to go on floors! Wonder if the film would have fetched a much bigger amount had it been sold late 2012 – 2013..

  • The film’s satellite rights have been sold for Rs 40 crore — the highest for a Hindi film

At R 40 crore, Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One has set a record of sorts. That’s the amount a channel has paid for the satellite rights to the film. And this, long before the film is even due for theatrical release! What’s more, it is the highest amount paid for a Hindi flick’s satellite rights.

  • Indicine team..you’re mistaken..Ra.One satellite rights were sold for 40cr..not 35Cr beating 33cr of 3I and 38cr of Krissh2..recheck that..(confirmed by wikipedia article..BOI and bollywoodhungama)
And Ra.One’s music rights have been sold for 10cr..
So ra.one’s record are still intact..

  • Nikhil, 50 crores? Guess your talking about worldwide distribution rights.. The Satellite rights of both Kites and Raavan was initially sold to Colors for Rs 45 crores. Later when Kites tanked, Colors re-negotiated the deal with Reliance and both films were then sold for 30 crores.

Dont really know the exact details about these pre-release deals, but there would definitely be a clause that would allow the deal to be re-negotiated, IF the film under-performs at the box office.

  • Everything is right..but Indicine Team..I think..u should research a bit more..’coz ra.one was sold for 40cr..
I heard it through Taran Adarsh..and Boxofficeindia..and its also written on wikipedia..on Krissh2 or 3’s page..that it was sold for 38cr next to Ra.One..
