After four poor seasons, Shahrukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders have won the Indian Premiere league 5.
CSK batting first, scored 191 with Suresh Raina top scoring with 73. At half time, it looked like Chennai are favourites. When Gautam Gambhir, the top run-getter for KKR failed, it looked like it was all going CSK’s way. Manvinder Bisla then walked out and played a match-winning knock but got out at a crucial time.
In the final over though, it all came down to 9 off the last over. Manoj Tiwari, who has been with KKR through all the 5 years, kept his nerve to win it for his team with 2 balls to spare.
Wasim Akram dedicated the win to team owner Shahrukh Khan and said that the team won the trophy for him.
