Salman Khan’s Kick has beaten Akshay Kumar’s Holiday to emerge as the highest grossing film of 2014 so far. The film has managed to do so in just 5 days after its release in theatres last Friday.
In comparison, Holiday crossed the 100 crore mark 17 days after its release while Salman’s last release Jai Ho took 10 days to cross 100. Kick did it in double quick time.

Till now KiCk is running like Usain Bolt,,,…,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and hopefully after 2 weeks kick wil KICk Chennai Express to gain in Second position at Box office.
Kick still may find it difficult to beat the 1st week collections of ce. ce did 12.5 + 19.7 crores on its 6th and 7th day. That equals almost 33cr. Since kick is ahead of ce by 1cr till now, it needs to do 32cr business today and tomorrow to beat ce. Its possible but I dont think it will happen. Lets see. And dont forget, on 7th day onwards, ce was played in 2500 screens when it collected 19.37 cr and from then it played on 1100 screens. Still it did 227 cr which is very high. Lets see if kick will be able to surpass that figure with 2 open weeks.
Holiday did a life-time business of 157 crores. its distributors got 37% more profit. and u tagged it as a hit only?? its satellite rights were sold for a record 100 crores, which even kick didnt get. now u compare after adding 157+ 100!!

That film is the true sequel in Bollywood unlike others who just copy same theme but doesn’t continue the story n release it as a sequel for big moolah…
Its just a bloody co-incidence that soms scenes looked similar to Hollywood films… Ex – Man of Steel was released in june but films shooting was done by that time… so the climax aerial fight scene being similar is a co incidence….

I personally feel salman is losing his magic…or other stars are going stronger…Before CE most of (I think all) single days ,weekend ,week days records were held by salman….Srk broke most of them,then HR and atlast Amir …….Now everyone was expecting to be big atleast single day record and ist week was looking realistic….As krish 3 did record breaking 35 or 36 cr on 4th day and did 167cr ist week despite of pre festive release…Salman should have match this 167cr after ist week as he is considered NO 1 domestic star…Kick was his best movie in line ,it did brillant business but not upto mark…………ETT was his last film when people rushed towards cinema madly….then Dabang 2 and Jai ho were disappointments(reason were sohail and arbaz)…..Both of them affected Salman stardom badly….Craze is what we saw at time of D3…with non holiday release it broke records of all holiday releases(talking about opening later on there was Christmas) ,but that craze is missing now for salman……….@salman fans what you expected for eid day???surely you were thinking about record breaking day ,I (not a salman fan nor hater) personally was thinking of 30cr + for eid ………..
And atlast doesnot need to involve any other star in this debate we should stick strictly to salman and his stardom….Doesnot need comments from salman haters ……What neutral audience say about it and what salman fans says…

The proof is that you overrated Krish 3(but that was a strictly average movie ,so was CE and D3)..But being fan makes you biased…I love Srk that;s why I loved CE although it was an average movie and cannot be compared to movies that made SRk popular…..

And i think it’s quite normal if i have a soft corner towards hrithik as i am a hrithikfan. It’s okay as all actors’ fans are somewhat biased towards their own fav stars. It’s understandable.

But i still believe k3 was a better movie than d3 n ce becoz k3 had loopholes.still,it was a step ahead of bollywood.it was ambitious and well-acted by performers. Dhoom 3 and ce were average for me.even you can follow people like rajeev and anupama chopra. But i think there were some movies of both the actors like VZ,devdas,mnik,3i,tzp etc etc whom i absolutely loved. And my all time fav movie is also a non-hrithik starrer(lootera).

@nipun, i m not a hrithik/srk hater but yes i m true salman lover. Many times i praised hrithik nd his movies….read my comments on bang bang trailer, posters’ comments. Even somtimes i did fight with srk fans for hrithik. Its u who forced me to bash hrithik again nd again.
