R. Balki’s Ki and Ka has passed the Monday test. The film has collected Rs 3.55 crore on its 4th day to take its total to Rs 28.78 crore net. It will soon be the biggest grosser of Balki’s career, beating the 30 crore total of ‘Paa’ in 2009.
The first week total of Ki and Ka will be in the 37 crore range. There are no movie releases this weekend, so the Arjun-Kareena starrer will continue to be the first choice for movie-goers. The film is now looking at a total of 50 crore plus, which would be a good result considering the limited appeal of the movie.
Ki and Ka has also performed very well in the overseas market, the film has crossed the $2 million mark (13.2 crore) and could eventually do business in excess of $3.5 million.
The ‘role reversal’ film will be the fourth clean-hit of Arjun Kapoor’s career – after Ishaqzaade, Gunday . It’ll also be a rare success for Kareena without a top male star – as track record without top superstars isn’t great. We have to go as far back as ‘Jab We Met’ (2007) and ‘Hulchul’ (2004) and both those films did not open well at the box office.

I hv a feeling Sid’s Baar Baar Dekho will also take everyone by surprise as it is not a run of the mill drama bt a thriller about time travel

Ki & Ka is a nice film. I liked it!
Kareena wouldnt have survived in the industry without doing movies with big male stars .
But Sid’s script sense is better than Arjun. Except 2 states none of Arjun’s films can b termed v gd or superb while Sid already has 2-3 films in that league-Kapoor & Sons,HTP/VILLAIN

Okay okay… just said what I know. I did not give it average rather it’s @indicine.
I have no probz with Sid. He is handsome dashing and has that urban look in him. I just don’t know why his acting never tripped me. Urban roles suit him more but when it’s time to experiment a Ishaqzaade or gunday I bet the role won’t suit him. Again his expression. Arjun did village boy role ishqzde.. urban city guy (2states)… Mawalli role.. Gunday….Am afraid it will be hard for Sid. Now that’s where Ranbir and Ranveer stands out. Both goodlooking like Sid.. Classy.. But esp Ranbir,he will do a Mawalli role and his bhojpuri dialogue will be perfect… That’s the cutting edge aspect of Sid that am yet to see. I know he is still young,will definitely improve and I will be the 1st to attest. So don’t get me wrong. Besides just my view.. Many have every right to disagree.

The distributor share will be low..
This means it will incurr loss for majority of distributors that indicates FLOP verdict. Haha.. I watched it n it was pretty orodinary flick . Destined to FLOP..

@aisha SID was always a non-actor who depended on Sharaddha, Alia for hits. He is a spoon-fed guy of Dharma productions. Hence the indicine support him too much by crediting him for the success of Kapoor and sons although it was charisma of Alia bhatt which saved the slow boring film from sinking..
Same can be said about arjun kapoor as well.. He does not have any following or stardom.. Just dependent on crap boring rom-coms having heroines which have better star-pull than him..
