Kareena Kapoor unveils Raj Kapoor Statue (Pics)

A superstar in true sense, Kareena Kapoor unveiled her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s brass statue at the UTV Stars promoted ‘Walk of the Stars’ in Mumbai on March 28. Madhur Bhandarkar, who is currently directing the actress in Heroine also joined her in unveiling the signatures of her great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor, granduncle Shammi Kapoor, grandfather Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Her father Randhir Kapoor was also present at the event.

Proud to be born into a family who are legendary figures in Hindi cinema, Kareena says ”My grandfather and father inspired me to be here. We Kapoor’s have acting in our veins and blood. I am looking forward to walking down memory lane. What better gift than this to the 100 years of Indian cinema?”.

While talking to the media about her grandfather the actress says, he was biased towards her sister Karisma as they both had blue eyes, and Kareena had green eyes like her dad.  Also, during summer season he used to give two mangoes to Karisma and just one to her!

An interesting incident that happened at the event was while a camera man captured Kareena’s picture while she sat on the lap of her grandfather’s statue. She instantly joked saying ”He is the only man Saif would allow me to sit on!”.
