Karan Johar to remake a French Film with SRK?

Karan Johar’s next with Shahrukh Khan is likely to a French film, after the director tweeted that he in London to acquire the rights of a French Film.

Karan also put to rest, rumors of him remaking the National Award winning Malayalam film Adaminde Makan Abu “On record… am NOT planning the remake of the acclaimed malyalam film… actually in london to acquire the rights of a superb french film!!”

Without revealing much on the French Film that he planning to remake, Karan who last directed My Name Is Khan said “If all goes well the french film will translate beautifully into an indian love story.. can’t wait to get it going.. ”

Before directing the love story with SRK, Karan will be directing Student Of the Year with newcomers “STUDENT OF THE YEAR… kick starts mid August… and will release mid 2012… am directing after 2 years!! Nervous and excited.. ”

For those curious, the French remake with SRK is unlikely to release before 2013, a 2014 release is more likely!
