The strategy to release the song before the theatrical trailer has worked big time, because ‘Kala Chashma’ is pretty much all over the internet. The song has been trending on Youtube in countries like Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and UAE.
In India, the song has been the top trend on Youtube for five days continuously and also topped iTunes India.
The popularity of the song will help ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ on its opening day at the box office. The trailer will still be the key, but with Sidharth Malhotra returning after the success of ‘Kapoor & Sons’, Katrina Kaif’s appearing in her first commercial film in a long time – combined with the popularity of ‘Kala Chashma’, the film could pull off a surprise at the box office on Day 1.
