A glamorous evening with the who?s who of the music fraternity saw the launch of the second album of the dynamic Kailash Kher. Performing for a celebrated audience Kailash Kher entertained music enthusiasts at the launch of ?Kailasa Jhoomo Re? in the city on Wednesday. The evening saw an enthralling performance of songs from the new album by band Kailasa, which comprises of Kailash Kher along with Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath. The three came together to form Kailasa and the result was for all to see with a pleasant synthesis of Sufi, folk and contemporary music in every album.
With Kailasa Jhoomo Re, Kailash Kher has extended himself from his Sufi image to provide vibrant and energetic tracks in the album that are sure to get the entire nation ecstatic. He has further added a few vintage Kailash Kher soulful numbers that will certainly resonate on the romantic ear. The album contains folk music with urban and contemporary sound that adds freshness and a vibrant appeal to every song. Kailasa, a band formed by Kailash Kher, Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath has performed at gigs in India and abroad. The band was the musical dynamite of Femina Miss India 2004, the Radio Mirchi Kaan awards, Abby awards 2004, and Sarhadon ki Jugalbandi (a concert on the Indo-Pak theme). Kailasaa touched a high by performing with A R Rahman at ?I Believe?, a show conceived by the Hon? President of India, Mr. A P J Kalaam. Their most recent performance was Sajda, a concert shown live on television in September 2004.
