The much-awaited sequel to Sujoy Ghosh’s 2012 classic ‘Kahaani’ has gone on floors. The second film, titled ’Kahaani 2′, features Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in the lead.
Ghosh confirmed the news on Twitter and said “in gratitude for the love you gave our first film. we will work even harder to live up to your expectations”
The director also tweeted “thank you all so much for your wishes. feels good :) in an incredibly potty network area else would’ve replied to each one of your wishes”

While Arjun Rampal is a new member of the ‘Kahaani’ franchise, Vidya Balan delivered an award-winning performance in the first film. Released in 2012, Kahaani opened with collections of less than 3 crore on Friday and went to collect more than 60 crore at the domestic box office.
The film also won three National Awards and five Filmfare Awards.
Ghosh has also directed films like ‘Jhankar Beats’, ‘Home Delivery’ and ‘Aladin’. While his first film, ‘Jhankar Beats’ did well at the box office, ‘Kahaani’ was by far the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful film of his career.
It was such a brilliant performance from Vidya in the first part. I hope her acting is complimented by a good script once again !!!!

Kahaani was a terrific thriller and I really loved it so much.Infact ‘thriller’ is the genre that excites me the most.Waiting eagerly for the sequel.

Saw the rough poster of #Dangal three days back. Wow! It’s simply terrific. A poster with so much character. Simple but solid!!!!
Kahaani was a masterpeace and Vidya’s perfomance was simply amaizing,i hope Kahaani 2 also has a good script.
For those questioning Arjun acting go and watch Rock On and Don,Arjun gave an amaizing perfomance in both films.
Kahaani is probably the best thriller made in Bollywood ever….
But why this Wooden Rampal??
Kahaani was an amazing movie and Vidya was fantastic in it. Great suspense and the ending was out of this world.
A movie without any song and dance or any superhit hero but was as entertaining and engaging as a movie could be. Probably the best woman centric film that I have seen in the last 6 to 7 years.
Ghosh has a tough job at his hand as Kahaani has set the benchmark really high. Will definitely wait for this one.
