Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani 2’ has been declared tax free by the Akhilesh Yadav-led government in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Elated by the announcement, Vidya Balan released a statement saying “In the past two weeks we’ve actually had people tell us that this film deserves to be made tax free so that more and more families can watch it. I’m so thrilled to know that ‘Kahaani 2’ has been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh”
“We are extremely delighted with the UP government’s decision on making ‘Kahaani 2’ tax free. I’m glad they took notice of the sensitive and core issue of child abuse that we tried to bring out to the audiences,” co-producer Jayantilal Gada of Pen India said..
‘Kahaani 2’ is the second instalment in the ‘Kahaani’ series of films. The first film was a critically acclaimed box office super-hit. The second part, unfortunately, hasn’t lived upto expectations.
its too late now
Kahani of the movie is good but a lot of plot holes. Scenes keep changing without explaining how exactly it happened so it looks totally fake so can’t keep audience connected to the characters.
Is it some kind of a joke? What’s the point in even giving a film a tax-free status when it has already undertones and is close to end it’s lifetime!
What’s the use now
What’s the point to declare it now? Don’t you think it’s too late?

Kahani 2 is flop already…doesnt matter if it is tax free in one state or all of them.
