Directed by Sanjay Gupta ‘Kaante’ was the Hindi remake of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. The sequel of this crime caper will be entitled Saath and the shooting is expected to beging in early 2008.
“The title Saath could mean two things: togetherness or the lucky number 7. This is a fun pun and so ‘t’ from Saath will be replaced by the number 7.” states Gupta. He promised that the script for this film will be completely original and not adaptations and rip offs.
Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani and Sanjay Dutt are expected to be part of the Kaante sequel.
Says Gupta “As the protagonists die in the original movie, the sequel might have a large amount of spiritual doctoring. A sort of dead-man walking situation with characters from the original being resurrected.”
