After a good opening on Tuesday, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) and Son Of Sardar (SOS), have picked up across all territories in India. The growth in business is 50-60% on Day 2. At a few centres the collections almost doubled.
JTHJ might surpass the opening day collections of Agneepath (21.76 crores), which is currently the 3rd biggest day in history. Early estimates suggest 21-22 crore nett business on Day 2.
SOS on the other hand, is likely to put up some big numbers too. It looks like the second day collections of the Ajay Devgn-Sonakshi Sinha starrer will be 15 crores+
The two Diwali releases, had a combined release of 4500-4600 screens across India, which is the widest release on a single day for a Bollywood film in India. The huge release is likely to translate into big numbers too, as the Day 2 grand total will be around 37 crores.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan collected around 19-19.50 crore nett on its second day as per early estimates taking its two day figure to around 32 crore nett. The film showed big growth all over apart from the circuits which were strong on day one.
The growth on day two is around 50% which is good but mass circuits did not show the growth they should have. Going by the trends on Wednesday, the film is likely to fair best in the big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.
Basically the clash has split the market Jab Tak Hai Jaan set to do better in some pockets and Son Of Sardaar set to do better in other pockets.

JTHJ is an amazingly refreshing flick ! Though the one and only boring scene was the long instrument dance just before Ishq Shava, other than that, loved everything about it . .

Even with this huge hype, star power, legends involved, still JTHJ is not up to that mark which was expected. To all the silly people who think this movie can cross 200 crores or more, please wake up! Only Aamir or Salman can deliver 200 crore film. Aamir did it with 3 Idiots, Salman almost reached there with ETT. And now, it seems that Salman will easily break this 202 crore record set by 3 Idiots this year end. JTHJ will at most collect 150 crores, while SOS having good content and positive word of mouth from most viewers will be able to cross 100 crores! Both films will be super HIT, but there’s no chance any one will be ATBB. I doubt that Talaash will be another ATBB with 200 crores, only Dabangg2 will break all records set by Aamir and Salman himself. JTHJ has NO CHANCE, it hasn’t broken opening day record, it cannot break weekend record, also cannot break fastest movie to reach 100 crore record, and obviously cannot break 198,199 crore record by ETT. Salman is the reigning king of Bollywood, whether you like it or not.
