Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 was the superstar’s lowest grossing film in Week 1 since the beginning of 2016. The trend of the film is better than ‘Housefull 3’, but isn’t as good as his other two releases last year – Airlift and Rustom.
At the end of Week 1, ‘Jolly LLB 2’ was Rs 2.39 crore lower than ‘Housefull 3’. The gap has reduced to Rs 1.75 crore on Day 8 and ‘Jolly LLB 2’ will take the lead by the end of the second weekend.
‘Rustom’ and ‘Airlift’ were way ahead and hence will remain out of reach for ‘Jolly LLB 2’ – which is now looking at a finish of 110-115 crore.
It isn’t a big total that the industry and trade were hoping for, but considering the period of release and costs of the film, it’s yet another box office hit for Akshay Kumar. It’ll also be the second highest grosser of 2017 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.

@jaz and before comparing Opening ,just keep in mind that Kaabil has a Clash with Srk (who is still one of the biggest crowd puller ) and that too with a pure massy Movie like Raees ,still Kaabil crossed 100 cr (Trade Fig) ,I don’t think it’s bad
Trending of #JollyLLB2 is better than Airlift.. Spl during Weekend… The Only diff is… Airlift had a extra Holiday 26th Jan in 1st week which gave it a Edge.. Otherwise.. Jump of #JollyLlb2 frm 1st Friday to Sat to Sun.. And Similar trends on 2nd Weekend.. Look at 2nd Fri nd 2nd Sat fig. And today also gonna be Huge…. That too in Feb

Jolly LLb2 following more or less Airlift trend. The major difference here is the republic day holiday that Airlift got. Jolly looks to finish around 120-122cr mark.might go higher if Rangoon flops badly.
