John Abraham, one of the hottest stars in Bollywood, has bagged the leading role in Firoze Nadiadwala’s upcoming mega film ‘Jewel of India’ to be directed by Hollywood’s director Rob Cohen.
Rob is a respected director in Hollywood, having directed films like The Mummy and Fast and Furious. Sources say that the deal between Rob Cohen and John was finalized recently at a dinner meeting in a suburban five star hotel in Mumbai. Katrina Kaif, who is tipped to play the character of the leading lady in this Rs 275 crore film (yes, you read right!), was also present on the occasion.
Rob Cohen had earlier talked to Amitabh Bachchan about playing an important role in the film opposite Hollywood biggies like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Sources say that if everything goes in accordance with the plan, it will be one of the biggest movies of India having a number of Bollywood and Hollywood stars.
Jewel of India is the story of a student who discovers a document that leads him to believe that the Kohinoor diamond in the Tower of London is not real, and that the real diamond is somewhere in India.
