This comparison is pretty interesting . Because rarely do we see Khans releasing their movies on Non Holiday . After Veer and Ready Jai Ho was the 3rd movie of Salman in this decade to release on a Non Holiday . Comparing the content of Airlift and Jai Ho is not possible as Airlift is Superb and JH was Crap . Jai Ho was the movie that broke the Blockbuster streak of Salman . I will be really happy to see Airlift beating Agneepath . Ghayal Once Again and Sanam Teri Kasam will release tomorrow . I don’t think STK will work and GOA will work in the masses . Airlift deserves to be Akshay’s Highest Grosser but if it fails then H3 has a bright chance to beat RR because of Sequel factor, Comedy genre and Post IPL Period . After 5 movies and 19 months Akki is back in the 100 CR Club . Airlift is expected to more than 200 CR Worldwide . After a long time Akshay is doing very well in Overseas so in all probability Airlift is a huge success and i am really happy for the success . Cheers !!!

It’s a proven fact.
Holiday release and less/no clashes have been saving the career of non-actor till date.
Else we all know, what his movies have collected in past when they released on a non-holiday or clashed with other movies.
Dilwale clashed with a niche film , still collected 150 cr. Can you imagine lallu’s PRDP clashing with BM. How much it would have been collected? Perhaps 90 cr in best case scenario.
MNIK released way back in 2010 targeted to limited audiences on non-holiday (with protests) and still collected 70cr+ in India and 200cr+ worldwide. Whereas , “Flop Ho” released in 2014, on almost double screens of MNIK with increased ticket price, with mass appeal and collected 114 cr in India and failed to cross 200cr worldwide.
And now, Akki with AirLift (which had no mass appeal, less number of screens and clashed with a mass oriented movie KSKHH3 and next week, it faced the competition from another mass movie Mastizaade) , thrashed the record of “Flop Ho” from left, right and centre. Still , Salman fans are living in their dreamland (or say Lalluland) that non-actor is the biggest star. Let him release his movie on a non-holiday and then check his stardom.
Now, some of his fans like “Chuha my faithful JACK” are predicting 300 cr for Sultan. Let’s see how it goes.
