Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has said his upcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is his “first and last” film as producer. The Anurag Basu directed film has been delayed for nearly 4 years, which has pushed the budget to ‘difficult-to-recover’ levels.
The actor said “I have realised it (producing films) is not my cup of tea. This is my first and last film as a producer. I am happy being an actor. I am lazy and don’t think I am cut out to be a filmmaker. I am glad, though, that I have been credited as producer for Jagga Jasoos”
When asked about the reason why the film took so much time to complete, Ranbir said ”None of us knew that the film would take so much time. I think it’s everyone’s mistake and we are all to be blamed for the delay”
‘Jagga Jasoos’ finally releases in theatres on July 14 this year.
Ranbir, who was seen in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ last year, also has a big film like ‘Dutt biopic’ lined up for release next year.
He doesnt seem to be much confident about the film
You are young i dont expect you to make comments like that. If you are lazy thats a bad message you are passing you should have used a more diplomatic speech. Older Superstars like Salman Ajay Aamir and Shah Rukh khan that are the ones that are suppose to be complaining producing movies are the ones who are even working extra miles. That is why they are still the biggest draws in bollywood despite the presence of more younger generation actors they are the one showing no sign of lazyness and still working their socks off.
Jagga jasoos looks like a flop…even dutt biopic looks risky… ranbir has experimented roo much in his 10 years…he should do like varun and tiger.. ad long ad they are doing these filns they are unlikely to be unsuccessful… they can experiment after they grow their fanbase…. even aamir khan did not experiment this much in his early days. … I really hope ranbir becomes a superstar in upcoming years. … even ranveer hardly delivered hits without slb…. so I think varun is ahead of them… even tiger is very massy….

Ya to recover budget & cost will be very tough but JJ can be liked at Multiplex…songs are being liked and they r catchy too(atlst for Urban)…but i thing for sure…Ranbir’s Acting talent will be praised highly once again in JJ!!
