Arjun Kapoor’s debut film Ishaqzaade has opened to good response at the box office on Frday. The Day 1 collections could be close to Rs 5 crores, as the film has performed well both at single screens and multiplexes.
Despite competition from Dangerous Ishq, last week’s Jannat 2, Hollywood film ‘The Avengers’ and the Indian Premiere League – the first day collections of Ishaqzaade are likely to be higher than films like Kahaani, Vicky Donor and Tezz.
As the reports are mixed, the weekend will be crucial. Stay tuned for all the box office updates.

saw a tamil{my 1st non-bollywood movie} movie PAIYAA last week. awesome. Great acting by karthi. beautiful story. karthi reminded me of the young hrithik roshan in kaho na pyaar hai. i think indians are great.
@aziz. bollywood gives new stories and is creative. i think u are used to seeing salman khan movies with his numerous remakes. ppl saw ra one with a beautiful though unusual concept, they complained. they saw ZNMD with a spanish beautiful road trip with an usual frienship n bonding, they said the movie was a crap until it won best film at d/f award fxns. now u r given simple rural ishaqzaade, full of fire, hate n love n u want new concepts. why dont u become a script writer lets see ur concepts. GROW UP DUDE N APPRECIATE AWESOME MOVIES N ACTING since u hv none.

Quite a good film, laughed, enjoyed watching it, but it didn’t capture my soul! that’s what lacks this film..needed a strong direction, loved the performance of both actors, Arjun Kapoor is the superstar of tomorrow.. he’s talented and lovable, didn’t like the ending, don’t want to mention what happens because lots of ppl still didn’t watch it for sure, but what happens in the end doesn’t go with the story
I will give this film a 3 star.
