In an interview with Indian Express, director Imtiaz Ali has spoken about his experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan. The filmmaker reiterated that his script demanded the superstar.
“It’s (experience) a very good one because we communicate very easily. We are both from the same North Indian middle-class family with a Delhi theatre background. So it was very easy to communicate with him. I can’t talk much about it because I am not allowed to” Imtiaz said.
Talking about the ‘need’ to have a big star to ensure recovery from theatrical business.
“I do respect the market forces. I will be a fool to say that I am making a Rs 500 crore film with a newcomer. It won’t happen. So then I won’t make that film. But if a film requires a guy who is 15-year-old, I will not go to SRK for it. I will not make the movie. So that choice is mine. And sometimes if I know that I require an A-lister who will get me a certain draw in the market then I will see whether I am getting him or not. And if it falls into place then it becomes that overall coincidence where you are looking for a person who is a star and he also fits your script. You then set out to make that film.”
Imtiaz’s first film with SRK releases in theatres on August 11 next year.

Recently Google India release a list of most Trending Movies, Actors and others, but there is no article on that, such list which comes once in a year, but nothing on that…..Guess Why??….because their favorite star srk is not in that list…….
Sorry Indicine that I am writing such comments, but we all love your site, we all wait whole day, visit your site 5-10 times everday to get some news on our favorite star, but when you do such partiality, then it hurts…….

Hey Indicine sorry for my above comments, it’s just I saw this article and when I read it I cannot control myself, it’s just for 2 min anger and I wrote those comments…..Recently their are so many news on Salman which you totally ignore, but I have not said anything to you, because it’s your site and it’s your decision and I respect that……Also it hurt when you ignore other actors and make article on srk with small small news…….As I said before nothing against Srk, I really enjoy his articles too, because it gives me pleasure to kick the A*S of his fans (Just for Fun)……..
