  • My thoughts-

    1. Am I the only one here who thinks Vicky Donor is overrated? The movie was fine, great acting, direction, good overall, but I was frankly insulted by how the story implies that having Aryan blood is the best thing. And the second half is a steep nose-dive compared to the almost flawless first half.

    2. Student of the Year has no business being included in Best Film, Director, Acting, or any for that matter, except for Best Music. I am surprised it was not included. Same for Amit Trivedi’s wonderful, experimental soundtrack album for Ishaqzaade.

    3. I know Barfi will win. Another over-hyped movie. Perfectly fine, touching movie with great performances. But I think Anupama Chopra put it best, the film shines in little moments and scenes, but put together as a whole it doesn’t quite work. Thank God Filmfare snubbed Anurag – copycat- Basu. Okay, 2 scenes, 3 scenes copied from old movies we can totally understand. But he literally copied a dozen scenes not just from old classic movies, but from new ones like The Notebook. Is that “being inspired”? I think not.

    4. Awards wise, Screen Awards and Filmfare Awards (their technical categories) remain the “fairest” of all the choices we have. All the others are craps basically.

  • Fixed awards look paresh rawal not nominated and ace khan aamir khan also I don’t get to understand why is srk nominated is this iifa wants him in nomination coz he is hit in overseas genuinely fake awards

  • I think the nomination of Amir/Salman should be there if crap movie JTHJ srk is nominated then why left out blockbuster movie actor and super hit movie actor? fake award

  • @sagar. Sad to see u think gems like vicky donor and barfi as over rated. Now it becomes a fashion to say genuine films as over rated. Some scenes of barfi is inspired from other movies but as a movie its have different heart. Vicky donor is not a thriller or a masala movie to make u entertained. It’s a simple story told in simple way and new concept in bollywood.

  • even if there is 1percent transparency and merit in IIFA Awards the best actress should go hands down to Sridevi! India should be proud of having her but instead all the award shows have mocked them selves by ignoring such a world class and highly acclaimed performance by Sridevi! Please send her to Pakistan if you can’t value such a gigantic mountain of talent!
