Salman Khan has said that he would take the blame if Jai Ho doesn’t pick up at the box office from Monday onwards. Sources say, the actor was in a state of shock after his latest release, directed by his brother Sohail Khan, failed to take a flying start at the domestic box office.
“God forbid, the film doesn’t pick up from Monday, I’ll take the blame on me” Salman told a news channel, a couple of days after the release of Jai Ho .
The actor also admitted that the box office collections are not on par with some of his latest releases.
“The collections are a little lower than some of my previous films. If the collections are not good, it’s my fault that I failed to bring my fans to theatres. The mouth publicity is good and the response has been phenomenal all over, but, I don’t know… maybe because its not a festive week or my fans don’t have the money to go to the theatre”
The superstar also spoke about the music of the film “We thought music will pick up, but only two songs did good”
However, Salman was quick to add that the collections of Jai Ho mean nothing to him, as long as the people are getting the message that the film is trying to convey.
“My mission is accomplished. People are getting the message of the film. And I am happy with the film” he concluded.
Great! No Need to worry! It will at least be a super hit in the long run! WOM is very positive and responses are extremely well. I myself have watched twice. There are many factors that hindered Jai Ho from opening well. Stay positive! Wait for official confirmation!! Besides, I have somewhere learnt that Jai Ho was released only 3800 Screens in India unlike what Taran said to be 4300+ Screens..Can anybody confirm it?

o god what is the fuss all about…. not every movie will shatter records…. u need holiday and festive release with high ticket prices to do that…. and for a non holiday and non festive release screen count does not matter becoz u may have as many screens as u may like but only limited amount of audience will come out to watch the movie as it is not a holiday or a festive season…. for me jai ho’s collections are very good if not excellent…. people and trade had some very unrealistic expectations from jai ho to be very honest…. dont forget its january too, the most dreaded period in bollywood…. considering the fact the movie had no big actress, no popular music, no holiday and festive season and low ticket prices it is doing super well…. movie is brilliant and word of mouth is excellent…. the movie will do well in the long run and eventually become a blockbuster…. just have patience…. not every movie will open with record collections…. for record opening collections you need few factors going its way and jai ho had none!

ticket price is “half” of the ticket price of ce and d3…..wake up from your dreams….it may be less but 50% less…defenitely not…!!! i would like indicine to even publish an article over it……… i watchd jai ho at a price rate which was much more than that of what i paid for dedh ishqia…. cant compare with ce and d3 as dont remeber what i paid for them but defenitely not 50 % less.. may be 10- 20 % less as i dont clearly remeber…..
social message- if you want to make a movie with a social message..please focus on that only instead of shifting to your regular tactics…. the social message was completely sidelined similar to stalin….
excellent wom- i watched the movie with six of my freinds and none of them really liked it…even my dear freind who is a fan ok SK on whose request we went in to watch the movie didt like it much….
the problem is SK has become repetetive……when you do similar kind of roles again again..you become boring….. he should try something new like “bade bhaiya” if he is really doing it….
dont have much expectations from kick too…but will be more successfull than jai ho as it is an eid release but to touch 200 crores will still be difficult task even fo kick..!!!

Film should collect 55-57 cr nett over weekend which is just 4-5 cr nett more than what Ranveer – Deepika starrer collected with similar ticket price and 1800 less screens. Now Monday is the last hope for the film as few section of fans and distributors baking on solid Monday. But after such average Sunday, this looks over optimistic.
Film needs at least double digit Monday if not close to Friday number to gain any kind of respectability. Poor show!

All Salman fans good news as per BOI early estimate of sunday collection close to 25cr so weekend is about 58cr,this is second highest for any Salman movie after dabangg2,its based only on one factor that is Salman because apart from a remake none of the factor is favorable for Jai ho,i am happy that non fan of him like @nipun,@babaji,@sht etc like the movie and want to success of a movie and if your non fan liked the movie,your target for good movie is satisfied there.i don’t even care what is the lifetime collection of jai ho because the best thing this is best movie of Salman since Dabangg as per wom,Jai Ho.
