Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has said that he doesn’t believe Madhuri Dixit was paid more for ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’.
Actor Anupam Kher, who worked with Rajshri films in the 1994 blockbuster, had said on Twitter that Madhuri was paid more than Salman for the Sooraj Barjatya directed film.
“I agree in certain cases it is true. But Madhuri was paid more than Salman in HAHK” Kher had tweeted.
Asked about Anupam’s statement at a press interaction here, Salman initially claimed that he wasn’t aware of it, but later replied: “I don’t think it is true.”
Regarding disparity in remuneration, Salman said “It’s all about what people want to see. The busier you get, the more people want to see you, that’s how your price increases. So if you can pull off a solo hero or solo heroine film on your own and the producers, exhibitors and distributors make that money then the producer doesn’t have any problem sharing that money with you. So you can’t demand, you need to command that”
some peoples like anupam kher and also his wife kiran kher always try to be act like they are so much gentle and social minded .while they are keep doing adult films also on this age . but they try to keep a gentle face on the upper side of there real face by giving such so called women empowerment type statements . does they think us that fool .!!!!!!
i will say of course girl should pay the same but only if they had the same importance on a film . for every film people go for only the actress .the heroines are like a side part. whoever she is she just need to wear a short dress that’s it . nothing else . why depika anushka don’t make there on film .where they will be the main lead .and then see what happen .they will hardly earn 50/60 cr . which is the first 2 days collections for salman/aamir/srk/hr . so please grow up and think practical .

all the people who are giving such unpractical statement that hero/heroine should pay same . why don’t they make there own movie where they will start this kind of trend . or why anupam ji don’t say that “from today he won’t be part of any movie where hero and heroine won’t be paid the same ” . they will never ever say that cause they don’t mean in . they just say it to look good on social media.

Of course madhuri was bigger star than salman in 1994……and movie was completely on her shoulder. ….no one given credit to salman at that time. ….
hum apke hain kaun- the dilauge also delivered by Salman khan so how can anybody think he had lesser than madhuri in this movie? nodoubt hahk is salman’s movie.
There is no need to discuss who paid more or less, but yes I agree Madhuri could be paid more than Salman.
Reasons- madhuri facing best phase of her career that time.
1988- Tejaab highest grosser of the year.
1990- Dil highest grosser of the year
1991- Saajan highest grosser of the year.
1992- Beta- hgoty
1993- khalnayak- 2nd highest grosser of the year.
So she were getting best of success that time, unfortunately for salman 1992-1993 were years without big success, moreover Salman can’t demand much from Rajshree as they give him break with MPK. While Madhuri can. Also Madhuri name comes first in credit ahead of Salman too.
Hahk is my one of favorite films but more due to Salman than Madhuri, I liked Prem character more.

Anupam kher wouldn’t say such thing unless its for the promotion of the movie. I have seen both salman and anupam kher giving interview just few weeks ago. This gimmick is to get HAHK team in to limelight, which is the same team of salman’s diwali release. But the HAHK director also given Main prem ki diwani hoon which is one of the most boring film ever with overacting. The director also couldn’t repeat same magic with HSSH and Vivah. Therefore, they are trying to remind us of HAHK, which had released 20 years ago lol
