Humshakals has collected Rs 37.07 crore in its first weekend at the box office. The film took a better-than-expected start at the box office on Friday, sustained well on Saturday and picked up all over on Sunday.
The first weekend business of the film ranks at No 5 in the list of highest weekend collections of films released in 2014 – behind Jai Ho, Gunday, Holiday and 2 States.
Today (Monday) will be crucial for Humshakals. If it manages to sustain at around the 5-6 crore mark, the film will emerge a winner at the box office.

Yes,it applies for Holiday too,but Holiday had very less buzz and promotions were poor…
Don’t know why people like Sajid make crap films,rather Sajid should direct a classical lovestory like Lootera,Lunchbox or an adventerous film like Guzaarish,so that i can enjoy and cry while watching too.

Gunday which is rated 1.6 bcoz it infuriated Bangladeshi people bcoz of its wrong depiction of Bangladesh Independence history and they came out in numbers and voted against it..

despite such negative reviews..really good collection..honestly for critics movie is bad but for me movie was enjoyable..some scene were really comedy and paisa vasooll..im talking about mine dont knw about others..
Why akshay fans always crying low promotion, less hype, non holiday, less no of screen etc. One question to Akki fans especially babaji ki khujli y only Akkis producers don’t want to earn money or they promote heavily but it doesn’t translate into hype. Now they r talking hamshakals is bcos hype and promotion. Akki fans r really great hats of u saar

don’t think Holiday needs to be promoted heavily from now only,there is a fair bit of time left for its release.Promotions should idealy start before 15-20 days of release.
Overpromoting the film won’t help.I always feel SRK always overpromotes his films,that much of promotion is’nt needed.A person who wants to watch ur film will watch it anyhow,u can’t force him to watch by excess promotion.You r a top star so everyone is aware of your forthcoming film.
