Hrithik Roshan is considered to be the highest paid actor in Bollywood’s History. Four of his films (Dhoom 2, Krrish, Koi.. Mil Gaya and Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai) are amongst the highest grossed films in the history of Indian Cinema. While he already has eight endorsement deals and holds the title of Bollywood’s No. 1, Hollywood executives are becoming more and more interested in crossing him over. In some cases a few major motion picture studios have offered to create a project just to launch Hrithik in Hollywood.

His debut movie Kaho Na Pyar Hai made him an instant star in Bollywood for which he won the Best Actor and the Best Debut Award. The film was nominated for ten Filmfare Awards and also entered the Limca Book of Records in 2003 for the most number of Awards won by a Bollywood Film – 102 awards. Hrithik’s film Krrish (the sequel to Koi.. Mil Gaya) was the biggest blockbuster India had ever seen. Both films were directed and produced by Hrithik’s father, the top Bollywood film-maker Rakesh Roshan.

‘Krrish 2’ is currently in active development, scheduled to start production in April of 2008. Some of the most credible Hollywood major motion picture studios are already offering to distribute the sequel. The Superstar has an Rs 35-crore deal for three films with Adlabs (One of the major production and distribution studios in India) where he has been given the option to pick and choose his leading lady, script and even the director.

Krrish 2 is going to be the highest budget film ever made in Bollywood. From the way it looks, Hrithik Roshan will be bringing Krrish 2 to Hollywood for a world wide release distributed by one of the top 5 major motion picture studios soon to be announced. “Even though, Hollywood studios are very anxious to take on ‘Krrish 2’, Rakesh Roshan and his production company FilmKraft are taking their time in making a decision.” Says a source close to the Roshans.

The film is scheduled to go into pre-production in January of 2008.
