Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who talks to the media a lot more frequently than he did before, has said Hrithik Roshan will surely direct a film. Adding that the superstar has been training for direction from a very long time.
“Hrithik surely will direct a film, although I can’t say when. He has assisted me on several of my films before he was launched as a hero in ‘Kaho Na… Pyar Hai’. So you could say he has been training for direction for a very long time.”
Roshan also spoke about his next directorial venture which will be the fourth instalment in the popular ‘Krrish’ series.
“We will start shooting next year in April or May… or may be in 2018. It’s a huge project. We need to work on VFX and that too in our budget. But it should be appealing enough for audience.. We will rope in international action director for the film. We want to up the scale of action and VFX. Show (the audience) something that has not been done” Roshan said.

Krrish 3 was a good film.It’s sad that people always compare Hindi movies with Hollywood ones.Considering the budget in which movies are made we have to compromise on overall production values.
K3 is the only film in recent times which took Indian cinema to another level.
Hopefully K4 is better in terms of story and with even higher budget.

I just hope it won’t be as time consuming as Krrish 3, which took nearly 2 years to be completed. All the 3 films in the franchise have been different than each other. Nobody could have thought of Krrish after KMG, but Roshans surprised us all in 2006. Then, Krrish 3 had massive scale and VFX were some of the best ever seen in Indian cinema. It was again different than Krrish (2006). Now, if Krrish 4 has same surprise element and lives up to expectations, them it will be a victory for Indian cinema (where many people are afraid of making superhero movies). I just wish Hrithik could release 1 or 2 more movies in between as he has shown he can finish movies inside 3 months as well with Kaabil.

HR biggest mistake is he is only doing one film in 1/2 Year.. He need to do more films….. The fans and audience want to see him frequently on bigscreen….
This father-son jodi has an amazing record at the BO. But Krrish 3 could have been better in terms of story. Anyways, Krrish 4 is still huge and this time with a strong plot and even better VFX we can give our answer to South’s Bahubali and Enthiran(Robot).

Kaabil is going to release in Jan 2017…. Even if Krrish 4 Starts in Apr/May 2017 the chances of releasing it in 2018 is very low…. Mostly bcz it need more time for postproduction works and also its a big film… So naturally its need a good festive release date. All major dates alreadybooked by big films.
If thats the case then after Kaabil we will have to wait more than 2Years to see a Hrithik film on Big screen.. ( Even if they released it in 2018 it will take More than 1.5 Years from Kaabil release date)

I would love to see Hrithik as a director as he has been assistant director for more than 5 years . He has done some brilliant movies and maybe filmmaking comes naturally to him as he shares a wonderful bond with his father . I hope Hrithik does 1 movie before Kaabil and K4 . K4 should come in 2018 and they should make the official announcement with the release date and the starcast . Krrish is one of the most successful and bankable franchises and it should only go higher with each film . Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol. When will these actors realize that direction is not any kids play. Ajay devgn failed both the times directing as both u me aur hum and shivaay have flopped. Over confidence is always bad. Accept the truth that everyone can not be all rounder Megastar Aamir Khan who can direct not only a brilliant film like TZP and turn in to bloclbuster despite the megastar himself having screen time after the first half. And TZP despite being off beat and no commercial appeal gave tough fight to multistarrer entertainer welcome which was hit because of all supporting actors more than the lead actor. So hrithik should just focus in acting and try to give a hit on his own without hiding behind his papa all the time. MD’s failure has proved that hrithik is nothing without his papa, brands, and multistarrers. I can hardly remember even a single hit of hrithik without his papa or big brands or big banners. And just forget about directing which is not cup of tea for hrithik.
And he will be a good director.
