Hrithik Roshan has acknowledged and congratulated the makers of ‘Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan’, a Malayalam film which was cashing in on the popularity of the superstar in the South.
The english meaning of the title is ‘Hrithik Roshan of Kattappana’.
The actor said “I am honoured.. I wasn’t aware of this movie till a lot of people on my Twitter timeline started talking about it. I am curious and intrigued. I am being told that it’s done well, so would like to congratulate the makers.”

Released in theatres last weekend, ‘Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan’ featured Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead. The film tells the story of a middle class boy Kichu, who aspires to become a superstar like Hrithik Roshan. Kichu’s father Surendran attempts to make his son fulfil his dreams.
The film is said to be a success in the south and to celebrate it, the makers are planning to screen the film for the real Hrithik Roshan in Mumbai.
Hrithik is one of the most popular actors in Southern states like Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka. His films almost always manages to get a good opening in these states.

Other actors may have demanded money for putting their name in a film’s title or else threatened to sue them, but Hrithik is congratulating the makers instead.
