Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has two films lined up for release – Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjo Daro and Sanjay Gupta’s Kaabil. Both films will be facing a box office clash – Mohenjo Daro will be up against Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Kaabil is scheduled to take on Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees.
Talking about the clash for the first time, Hrithik said he doesn’t want to involve himself and instead let Ashutosh Gowarikar speak.
“Producer saab (pointing at Ashutosh), I’m an actor (smiles)” Hrithik said, before a journalist told him that Akshay lives in Hrithik’s building and he’s one of the producers of Rustom. To which, Hrithik said “Then straight to Akshay.. Ashutosh and Akshay please discuss and sort it out..”
Ashutosh said “The thought does come to mind… that if two films come on the same day and clash, box office will be divided.. all that (talk) happens. But ultimately, you have to do what is in your interest.. Sholay and Jai Santoshi Maa released on the same day, both were super hits. In fact, if you compare, Jai Santoshi Maa is a bigger hit than Sholay, because the cost to recover ratio (return on investment) is very high. Lagaan and Gadar (also clashed), one of them was my past film.. ”
“So when I think of all that, I think Mohenjo Daro should work and so should Rustom, both films should be super duper hits” Ashutosh said.
Meanwhile, Hrithik did mention that he spoke to Shah Rukh Khan about Kaabil’s clash with Raees.
“Yes, we spoke and said we are actors and we should leave it to the producers to decide” Hrithik said.
Mohenjo Daro releases in theatres on August 12.

You should use similar formula … winner of the clash should be decided on the basis of return on investment & profits ? not on the basis of collection as one is double of the budget of another movie…!

Honestly I am not at all worried about this clash. Because I know what the result is gonna be. MD will earn more than bang bang and Chustom will earn less than haider. Enough said. Akshay is nothing compared to hrithik. Hrithik has 4th highest fan following in india. Akshay has lower fan following than ajay devgn. So no chance for chustom against MD.

All those persons. Saying tat kaabil should be postponed are nothing but a bunch of cheap moronic loosers. Why kaabil should postpone? Kaabil was earlier scheduled to release on 26jan. A lot of persons are involved in filmmaking . all those persons will be at loss . why didnt raees makers released their movie on eid with sultanaa, or best date of 9 september . ridesh sidhwani and srk very well knew tat kaabil is scheduled to release on 26 jan, it means they have intentionally and knowingly shifted raees on 26jan. So tat kaabil may get postponed….. The real motive is known to nobody… Actually shah rukh is insecure after fan debacle and he knows tat if kaabil will release as solo . it will become all time blockbuster… And hrithik will overtake him which hrithik definetely will.. Hrithik maybe better than others but SRK is much better than Hrithik. SRK tried to protect his children at Wankhede stadium, and not disrespect any elder. Publicity hungry MCA sided with that stupid security guard. He has a happy family with wife and kids.
Hrithik behaved very badly with Kangana, leaked her emails, tried to bully her. Such an arrogant fellow. Even his wife left him.
So next time before saying Hrithik is perfect, think 244 times.
I really don’t think Raees vs Kaabil will happen, Excel can’t delay the film any further and I don’t think Rakesh Roshan wants to clash SRK. They share a very good friendship so a box-office clash would be pointless. I wish a big success to both movies anyway !

So another actor’s too are good except I’m star and his fanbase called salman whose fans want every films to be flop except their non actor’s film.
But being a good guy’s fan you keep spreading negativity againt KING KHAN and other good heroes too just because they have clash against your star.but that tol doesn’t make any huge difference if hrithik movies will be too great.

IT IS PROGRESS, Bollywood filming more than one possible blockbusters in the same week, most people will see both. Soon we will find them releasing three and more great films in the same week. Hollywood does it all the time and we as many as possible. It is called progress.
SRK, or the producers of Raees, should not have postponed the showing of the film, simply because it clashed with Sultan, as that move made more people wanting to see the movie.
Had they allowed the movies to clash, it would have been a great experience for Indian Cinema.
I think Kaabil release date would depend a lot on how Mohenjo Daro opens at box office. In case it performs below trade expectations, Raees would be getting a solo release as Kaabil would get postponed.
