Answer: Looking at the trends today, Happy New Year is likely to collect around 6 – 7 crore. If the film grows over the weekend, it could collect somewhere around 24 – 26 crore in its second weekend. Second week should be in the range of 37 - 40 crore – or more depending on the growth in the next couple of days.

I think as per producer 25cr and as per boi close to 20-21cr.
Never the less srk become only first actor to have 2 200cr film back to back according to producer figure but as per trade he won’t.
Fact is CE performed due to Deepika performance,srk over acting and his stardom but most because of Rohit Shetty.
Other thing is film have positive wom and despite if competition it has the entertaining content which force nuetrul audience to see that film which had 15th Aug rakshabandhan,jabamshtmi holiday in coming week that too on weekday which help it to surpass 3i,it has competition but ouatimd was outright rejected and madras cafe was for classes only.
But neither any director can be Rohit shetty or Raju hirani nor every srk masala film can be CE.
@sem could you tell me why srk and Farah titled that film Happy New Year it should be Happy Diwali because story Ka ata pata nahi,music Ka thikana nahi and audience ko pakana hi.

Agreed- The Shaukeens will definitely do better business now that common sense prevailed meaning Abhishek Sharma has cast Piyush Mishra instead of our resident lonely hearts club founder- babaji.,..! That film looks good n the tribute song to babaji ‘haa main treacherous sorry alcoholic hoon’ is doing better than our Kings tribute to SSS DCBwaale- ‘sharabi’….. ;-)
‘Chennai Express” collected 156 cr nett in week one and went on to cross 226 cr nett lifetime with competition from OUATIM2. HNY is already 158 cr and there are no major competition. Again 4th and 6th NOV are holidays. So Its unfair to say it will not cross 200cr. It will definitely cross CE lifetime collection.
1st week collections of hny.. trade fig. and producer fig. already difference 20 cr. what a shame on producer try to show their film collect more. actual trade fig. of hny is 137.5 cr.so life time collections ke bad to 30 cr extra dekhaenge to reach 200 cr. so bad and cheap thought of producer of hny.aisa hi hoga to her koi film release ke bad to producer apni marji se collections bolenge . watch singham 2… trade fig. and producer fig. same 140+cr.
2nd week collection of hny will be 65cr+ mark my word and indicine please give me award for this prediction and life time collection of hny will be 250cr+ InshaAllah

Now coming to HNY , yes the collections are not as expected & it does dissapoint to some extent as many were expecting 190 crore week.
But its OK . For a single movie u can’t bash a superstar like that ………..
I know that all will hate this comment ………… bt please once have a google search typing – “MOST POPULAR MOVIE STAR ON EARTH” u wld get the results . u wld not even see any Tom Cruise , Brad Pitt or James Bond . Leave Salman or Aamir .

This is the worst movie I have ever seen. I’m a srk fan but see the differences HNY 44.97cr in 1st day and 1st week collection 157cr and Salmans Kick 1st day 26.50cr and the first week collection 164.50cr now everything is clear Nowadays people don’t keep their brain outside of the cinema hall. Srk or salman Bad movies always bad movies.
