Holiday has done very well in its first week, collecting around 67.5 crore at the domestic box office. The Akshay Kumar starrer is the second highest first week grosser of 2014, below Salman Khan’s Jai Ho.
Holiday will continue its good run at most theatres this weekend, as it competes against Akshay’s home-production Fugly. Holiday will also remain the first choice, it should collect around 18-19 crore in its second weekend.
A.R Murugadoss’ second film after Ghajini (the first film to cross the 100 crore mark) is likely to join to the 100 cr milestone.

i really enjoyed the movie…akshay was amazing in it…the only thing i didn’t like about it was when there were scenes in which he was driving cars or riding bikes, he was not wearing seat belt or helmet…i know its not related to the technical aspect but not only akshay but other stars should wear seat belts and helmets…just to raise the awareness..!!!

And emraan has given many solo hits with new heroines and new directors and small banners. So emraan should be ahead atleast at 8 or 9 spot. Gunday was multistarrer and had yrf backing.
