After a decent opening day of 11 crores, Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala has crashed all over at the box office on Day 2. The film collected Rs 8 cr on Saturday taking its 2 day total to Rs 19 cr net.
With negative word-of-mouth and Saturday being a working day, business dropped by 20-30% across India. Even at single-screens, where the film was expected to do well over the weekend, there was a sharp dip in business.
Morning shows on Sunday were slightly better than Friday at a few screens, but the film is likely to be end its first weekend with all india net box office collections of 30-31 crores.
The remake of Himmatwala is likely to be Sajid Khan’s first failure as director.

I don’t wanna watch this movie simply cause sajid was so cocky about it. Had he been a normal way about it. I would have watched it as a sympathy watch.
It shows that you can’t take audience for granted.You will have to make a better film then you should expect the audience to go & watch your movie.btw Ajay Devgan is a very good actor & one of the most respected one but he is not a superstar but he is still a big star.I liked him in gangajal,bhagat singh movies and would definitely watch his movie if he does those kind of movie again.Hope satyagraha will be good.

i knw satyagraha wud b classic as its d kind of movies dat ajay shud do, n d fate of himmatwala showed us dat d audience hav had enuf of brainless masala potboilers, nw dey wnt sumthin diff, its gud dat film makers r really comin wid new stuff lyk kai po che,abcd(1st dance film) , go goa gone(1st zomcom) etc !! ajay shud really stop doin dese films.

@velocity@some1 i don’t say anything wrong about k3. It will be no doubt not atbb and col 150to 165cr max never cross 200cr. But some one says it break 3idiots record do you think that? Only d3 cross 200cr i am sure that and mental may be chance but i think it did’t cross and ce did’t cross it for clash. No doubt d3 will be highest grosser of the year and ce is the most awaited film of the year.
