However, now Himesh will be seen without a cap in Pooja Bhatt’s next film being written by Shagufta Rafique. Now that Himesh Reshammiya has undergone a hair transplant, he has given his full consent to go without his trademark topi in the film.
When contacted, Pooja confirmed that Himesh will feature in her upcoming film without a cap and said, “He will have three looks in the film. He will don the cap in few portions. We can’t take away from what his image is, but at the same time, we can’t stop giving something new to the public. The script demands that he does not wear a cap and he will do that – no base ball cap, no skull cap, nothing to cover his head whatsoever.”
The film is inspired by a true incident. It is the story of a lawyer from India in pre-independence days. He met a girl in Morocco whom he fell in love with at first sight. But she disappears. He tracks her down in Hiramandi red light area in Pakistan. With a 30 crore budget, the film hit the floors in the month of January 2008.
