Befikre has recorded the 11th highest Monday collections of 2016, lower than Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN, but higher than ‘Kapoor & Sons’. However, Monday was a holiday for Eid Milad, so the film did have an advantage of around 20%.
Rustom tops the Monday collections this year, followed by Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Shivaay and Sultan. All were big holidays for Independence Day and Diwali.
Sultan recorded the highest non-holiday Monday, even though it was on the 6th day of its run. It’ll be interesting to see if Aamir Khan’s Dangal on its 4th day, can beat the Monday business of Sultan. In fact, Dangal is expected to record the highest Monday collections of 2016.
