Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 is now the highest grosser of all time ahead of Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express. The film has collected 228.34 crore in 15 days (including all versions) at the box office, beating the previous record of Rs 227.1 crore set during Eid earlier this year.

The Hrithik Roshan starrer is still going steady in Week 3, but business at multiplexes was severely hit by the outstanding start that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela has taken. It remains to be seen if the Hindi version of Krrish 3, which has collected around 215.5 crore, can go past the lifetime business of Chennai Express.

If, however, the 227cr figure of CE is only from Hindi versions, excluding Tamil and Telegu, than Krrish:3 has not yet broken this record as it’s collections stand at 215cr from the Hindi version.

The thing that really matters is the worldwide collections (like for a cricket player, do you only consider domestic records or domestic + overseas?). And even if you take the inflated producer numbers, K3 is still far behind CE.
On one side, you have movie with 70 crores budget and 425+ crores worldwide gross, and on the other side, a movie with 115 crores budget and less than 400 crores gross. Still people argue about which movie has done better at box office?

There is no territorial breakdown given by producers for single day or single week…
And that is sumthng they cant do because they have manipulated so much that individual distributors will sue them and the extra money tax will be so high that even producers wont be able to pay..
The best they can do is either they will reduce the numbers or will call these numbers as GROSS..
