Chennai Express has topped the list of Highest Distributor Share of all time, and has also become the first film to cross the 120 crore mark. The Shahrukh Khan starrer is followed by Ek Tha Tiger (112 crore) and 3 Idiots (99 crore).
The film has proved to be hugely profitable for all involved – producers (Red Chillies), distributors (UTV), individual distributors (UTV sold the theatrical rights for all circuits except Mumbai and Delhi/UP at a high price to individual distributors) and not to mention the exhibitors too.
And we aren’t even talking about the overseas collections here! ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.

But if you watch CE with your family you will not enjoy but they will definately because it is pure desi film with all green desi location which does not content vulgerity,non sense. “Chennai Express” is now unstoppable despite being reduced to 1050 screens. Film grew yesterday around 70% which is out of the world in 3rd weekend. Film was superb today once again almost all over and that is really amazing.
As per early estimates, film should collect 4.90 cr nett today which means film has collected close to 211.18 cr nett. Film will finish with 10.50 -11 cr nett 3rd weekend collection. Film should add 5-6 cr nett more on weekdays and that means 16-17 cr nett 3rd week similar to “3 Idiots”.
Film looks to stay in cinemas for next few weeks and will keep adding some important numbers which will make this highest earning record tougher for future releases.
Now film is chasing last record on offering which is worldwide gross 391-395 cr of “3 Idiots”. Film has already crossed 387cr gross and 400 cr gross looks certain.

Distributors of two circuits faced losses vit ra.one..but the same happened vit dabangg 2..distributors of 2 or 3 circuits faced loss as the distribution rights wer sold at very high price..
