Kareena Kapoor has appeared in two films this year – Bodyguard and Ra One – and both films have set the cash registers ringing at the box-office. To add to her success, the actress was given the privilege to unveil her wax statute at Madame Tussauds last month.
At 31, Kareena who is looking better than ever before, is showing no signs of slowing down. Infact, her next is likely to be the most demanding role of her career.
National award winning director (for “Traffic Signal” in 2007) Madhur Bhandarkar, who is known for movies that have women-centric characters, has signed Kareena to play the lead role in ‘Heroine’.
A source says that Kareena’s character goes through various phases and transitions for which she will have to go through physical transformations as well.
The story is about an actress who achieves great success, but things later fall apart quickly. To generate curiosity, the makers are tight lipped haven’t revealed much about the film.
The shooting for Heroine begins on 25th of November 2011 and the film is likely to release before the end of 2012.
