Kareena Kapoor’s Heroine has done well in it’s first week. After a good first weekend of Rs 22-23 crore nett, the film dropped on Monday and business remained low over the remaining weekdays.

- Saturday – 7.25 crore
- Sunday - 8 crore
- Monday – 3.25 crore
- Tuesday – 2.8 crore
- Wednesday – 2.3 crore
- Thursday – 2.1 crore
- First Week total – 32.7 crore
The film has dropped further on Friday, with the release of Oh My God and Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal. Also, the India – Australia match has also affected collections.
Overall, these are good numbers for a film without a major male star. In comparison, Kareena’s other release this year Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, produced under a reputed production house did Rs 30 crore nett in it’s first week.

ek mein aur ek tu had imran khan who has been giving hits lately.
Heroine is a much better film than that stupid crap film Ek Main aur Ek Tu.. even if it didn’t do well at the box office but Karina deserves to get the best actress award for 2012 performance.

I saw both movies. There is no need in comparing them because each addresses two different industries. I think both PC and Kareena did a wonderful job. I was quite impressed with Kareen’s performance. The giggly arm candy turned into a powerful actor. I hope she does more movies like this. I believe BW put out on a negative media campaign against this movie which exposes the underbelly of BW. They do not want the public to see this vivious side.
