After all the hype and excitement, the theatrical trailer of Happy New Year is finally out online! The trailer was launched at Sahara Star in Mumbai with the entire cast in attendance. The launch event was by far the grandest event that we have witnessed for a trailer.

The way SRK is taking digs at Aamir, it shows how insecure and frustrated he is and easily cashing on PK poster’s immense buzz.
Aamir comments on SRK only when asked, SRK always took digs at him just for the heck of it, out of sheer jealousy and frustration.

trailer is good but not xcellent
was xpecting more.. Ce’s trailer was far more better…it was humourous as well. songs r gud but at the moment arent catchy enough. sets are looking grander n better… the last action sequence was v.good but pales wen compared to kick n bang bang. first 15 secs of srk was awesome. I was xpecting some serious thrilling promo but it turned out a comic one. I hav completely lost ma faith in farah.

Trailer is not that bad but feeling is giving feeling of Tees Maar Khan. Basic idea and concepts looking same.
Akki and his group wanted to rob and SRK and company is also looking for a heist. Akki and company started making a fake movie and srk and company is dancing in a competition.

Yes, the trailer is not upto the trailer of kick or Dhoom 3. But kick and Dhoom both were utter crap, not upto their trailer…. Hny will be good.

Trailer is average…its a mix of cheap comedy and high class action and con…which has never worked in Bollywood. .This movie works only if Farah has done job well else it will be another Tees Maar Kuan ya Ra one.

Well, like/dislike option and comment section have been disabled by the makers, I guess that’s enough to judge the public’s response to its trailer.
I don’t expect anything spectacular from Farah and family, but SRK is one of the best and most consistent actors in Bollywood, so I will not shy away to express my feelings after watching it. It didn’t meet my expectations and I doubt anybody can say, “yes, this is what I expected”. Surely, we expected a lot better from King Khan after more than a year, it doesn’t have the feeling of one of the best trailers.
Sets were amazing, SRK is charming as usual, music was good, Deepika was hot but I didn’t like her overacting, that “speaking English” joke is as old as stone age, Boman was good (loved his scene with SRK). Some scenes were too over the top for an SRK starrer, some people may find them funny, some may not.
Overall, it was not bad at all, but it wasn’t one of the best trailers either (compared to BB, D3, K3, Kick and even Don 2) and obviously it was below my expectations.
SRK used to select good films until MNIK, Don 2 was also good, but don’t know what happened to him afterwards, even Chennai Express was good for a change, but this one looks like Players with more masala and entertainment. SRK shouldn’t damage and should sign movies like Chak De, MNIK etc. Box office records are not everything, people will not remember them, they will remember good movies like Chak De, MNIK, Baazigar, DDLJ etc.

@arjun: that happens with kick doesn’t mean it will happen with hny also. Yes, i liked kick poster n trailer. I can give you the link of my comments there. Loved genuine comments by @babaji,@sky and @Rohit. Even those 3 found it below expectation. So no need to be shocked if someone called it an average trailer.
