Happy New Year song ‘Lovely’, which was released earlier today has created history on the World’s most popular video-sharing website Youtube. The song has garnered 1 million views in 9 hours since it was released.
The song has gone viral on the internet with tons of shares on Facebook and Twitter.
In comparison, the title song of ‘Bang Bang’ which also did very well, took almost 2 days to get 1.5 million views, while Indiawaale has around 2 million views in 18 days since its release. Lovely already has 1.3 million views in less than 10 hours and could get more than 2.5 million views in 24 hours.
The other song that was released, Manwa Laage has also become very popular with close to 6.5 million views.
No other Hindi song released exclusively on Youtube has received so many views in just 9 hours.

But it is not just the pop music industry and content creators that try to game the system by inflating viewing numbers through dubious methods to drive more ad revenue. Robin Grant, the global managing director of We Are Social, says there truly is a seedy side to the seeding industry, with some agencies using underhand ways to boost viewing figures.
“YouTube has turned a blind eye to it for too long,” he says. “Marketers take the easy route to views by paying the seeding agencies to make their videos viral. They should realise that there is no shortcut to viral success other than creativity.”
“The horror stories are becoming more widespread,” Edwards warns. He adds that he has heard about mobile marketing initiatives, where clients use networks to launch apps and pay for each download, that are being abused by people being incentivised to simply download the app – but do not go on to use it.
