Tickets of Happy New Year will go on sale Sunday onwards. About 25-30% of multiplexes will start selling tickets on Sunday, many more will open counters from Monday and almost all theatres will be listed on sites like Bookmyshow.com from Tuesday onwards.
The final runtime of Happy New Year is 2 hours 59 minutes 50 seconds, which is just a shade under 3 hours. The trailers of Action Jackson and Byomkesh Bakshi (combined length of around 5 minutes) will be attached to the film.
A few exhibitors we spoke to, confirmed the runtime and also said that the film will be running on 5 shows per screen.
Happy New Year will get the widest release for a Bollywood film ever. The worldwide screen count is expected to be around 5100 – 5200, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu release in India. Tamil films like Vijay’s Kaththi directed by A.R. Murugadoss and Vishal’s Poojai will be competing with Happy New Year in states like Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka.
Starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Happy New Year is directed by Farah Khan. The film releases in theatres on 24th October.

Lol…Dhoom:3 released in 4650 Screens in india alone(including regional screens) and 906 screens in Overseas…..so,total-5556 screens by dhoom:3.so,how with 5100-5200 screens HNY will be biggest release?
Still the runtime is long, but it got a psychological advantage of being termed as an “Under 3 Hrs” movie. Five shows per screen are not bad. Now everything will depend upon the content and WOM. If content is good and WOM is positive, then it should cross 250 cr easily.

Kick is second highest grosser film of all time. Kick collection around 233 cr. at the Box-Office. Not only this, the movie grosses 100 crores in first five days of its release despite Holy Ramdan. People loved the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair, Salman- Jacqueline, in the movie. But some people think that SRK & Deepika won’t be able to create the same magic on screen as Kick, as they think that SRK is looking very old and is not suitable to play the lover boy in movies at this age…!!!
